If you want to make keys independent of other processes, or if you want to modify a key’s access, you can use the Property Interface Control screen to create and manage keys. You can create room keys for reservations that have a room number assigned and may select multiple reservations if required.
Creating Room Keys for a Reservation
From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Miscellaneous, and then select Property Interface Control.
Enter or select the property and click Search
Select and expand the Key Card / Door Lock System (DLS) panel
Enter reservation search criteria and click Search
Select a reservation in the search then click Create Key.
Room Key Options
Key Type
Cut New Key. Select to encode a new key; invalidates any existing keys
Cut Duplicate Key. Select to encode a duplicate key; existing keys remain valid
Number of Keys
Per Adult on Reservation. Select quantity of keys based on Adults in the reservations
Per Reservation. Select a fixed number of keys per reservations
Value. Enter the number of keys
Additional Rooms. Select any additional rooms from the list
Key Options. Select special key options from the list; key options provide special access to areas such as fitness centre or club floor
Keycard Use. Select a use for the key from the list
Valid Until Date. Enter or select a expiry date; default is the departure date
Valid Until Time. Enter an expiry time; default is the departure time
Key Encoder Locations
Display All Encoders. Switch on to display a list of all encoders; when off the last used encoder is displayed
Select a device area to view a list of encoders allocated to the area
Select a key encoding device
Click Create Key.
Creating Room Keys for Multiple Reservations
From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Miscellaneous, and then select Property Interface Control.
Enter or select the property and click Search.
Select and expand the Key Card / Door Lock System (DLS) panel.
Enter reservation search criteria and click Search.
Select multiple reservations in the search then click Create Key.
Room Key Options.
Key Type

Click Process
The Information Message "Create Keys for Reservation 1 of x: (Room Number: xxx) (Name: xxx) is displayed at the top of the panel
Modify the Room Key Options if required
Click Create Keys.
To skip this reservation, click Skip.
Repeat for each reservation.
Click Close when all reservations have been processed
