21 Implementing the Keep Alive Session Timer

Use the an MBean Console like JConsole to implement the keepAliveSessionDuration timer. This timer DOES SOMETHING REALLY COOL!

Using the keepAliveSessionDuration Timer

Before you can use the keepAliveSessionDuration timer, you need to add it to the com.convergin.wcs.osgi.framework.pn.impl bundle.

1. Open your MBean console and connect it to Service Controller.

2. Go to Configuration MBeans, then com.convergin.wcs.osgi.framework.pn.impl, then 6.2.0, then pnframework, and then ModuleInstance[0].

3. To add the timer to the bundle, click Add keepAliveSessionDuration.

   You only need to add the timer to the bundle once.

4. Select keepAliveSessionDuration.

5. Configure the value of the keepAliveSessionDuration timer in seconds.
