This illustration shows three shardspaces in a user-defined sharding implementation, where shards are distributed into three shardspaces with geographical naming schemes. The three shardspaces from left to right are named Shardspace West, Shardspace Central and Shardspace East.

Shardspace West consists of one shard which contains two tablespaces, tbs1 and tbs2, each of which contains a partition, P_NorthWest and P_, respectively.

Shardspace Central consists of one shard which contains two tablespaces, tbs3 and tbs4, each of which contains a partition, P_NorthCentral and P_SouthCentral ,respectively.

Shardspace East consists of one shard which contains two tablespaces, tbs5 and tbs6, each of which contains a partition, P_NorthEast and P_SouthEast, respectively.
