side pane

A user interface component that is available in native Microsoft Outlook that is analogous to a task pane or action pane in the Siebel Web Client. This region of the user interface is typically available on the right side of the user interface. It displays a collection of data and actions that the user can choose and that are appropriate for the context that the user uses to access data.
