Pack Slip Print Program (K32)

Purpose: Use this screen to define the program that prints pack slips.

Important: The Pack Slip is not currently implemented.

System name: Enter the program name to print the pack slip through Working with Pick/Pack Verification (WPPV). The default graphical pack slip print program is PICKPACKG and the default non-graphical program is PICKPACK.

Why use the pack slip? You can use the pack slip in Working with Pick/Pack Verification (WPPV) to provide a listing of the items packed within each carton, which might be most useful for orders that ship in multiple cartons. If you pack the pick slip contents into two or more cartons, you have the option to print the pack slip for each carton. The order summary, which is the other document you can print within pick pack verification, includes all of the items printed on the pick slip, even if they were packed in separate cartons.

Generated when? The system generates the pack slip when you complete entry of a carton at the Pick Pack Verification Screen provided there is a valid print program specified in this system control value and the Print pack slip flag is selected at the Completed Carton window. The pack slip opens in a separate browser window while you are working in pick pack verification; it is not necessary to go to the Forms Management screen to print it.

Leave this field blank if you do not want to print pack slips. With this setting, the Print pack slip flag is not displayed at the Completed Carton window.

For more information: See Working with Pick/Pack Verification (WPPV).
