Logging into Order Management System
When you select the Order Management System URL, it opens in a separate window. The new window displays the Login Screen, while the other window might display a message indicating that Order Management System is open in another browser window. The new window provides access to Order Management System without the address bar and back button. Once the login window opens in this window, it is safe to close the original window displaying the message.
Note: If you start Order Management System without using the separate window, the entire contents of each screen might not be displayed correctly.
Use the login screen to sign in to the Order Management System application. You must provide a valid Order Management System user ID and password and select Sign In.
Modern View? The flag controls whether you log automatically into the Classic View of Order Management System or into Modern View.
Note: You can also return to Order Management System by selecting the Classic View icon () from Modern View.
Successful Login
If the user ID and password are valid, the system logs the user in.
Determining the user’s language and date format: The system looks at the Locale and Date Format defined for the user in the Users table to determine the language and date format to display in certain areas of the application.
See:
• Regional Settings for an overview.
• Where are Date Formats Applied? for more information on which date format the system uses in different areas of the application.
• Where are Number Format Applied? for more information on the decimal and thousand separators the system uses in different areas of the application.
Password expiration error: When you first login and you are using Order Management System for password authentication if the user’s password will expire within 15 days, the system displays the error message Your password will expire in X days, where X is the number of days remaining. You will need to change the user’s current password to a new password.
Unsuccessful Login
If the login screen indicates that your user ID and password are invalid: This situation can occur if:
• the Order Management System user ID does not exist. Log in to Order Management System using another user ID and advance to Working with User Records (WUSR) to verify the user ID exists.
• an invalid password was entered. Log in to Order Management System using another user ID and advance to Work with User Records (WUSR) to reset the user’s password.
• the user’s password has expired. In this situation, the system displays a Password Expired screen where you can provide a new password.
• you are using LDAP, and the connection to the LDAP service is temporarily lost.
• the connection to the database server is temporarily lost. You can confirm the problem by checking the CWDirect log. To correct the situation, restart Order Management System.
• the user ID is disabled in Order Management System. The Status of a user ID is stored in the Users table and indicates whether a user ID is *ENABLED or *DISABLED. Log in to Order Management System using another user ID and advance to Working with User Records (WUSR) to re-enable the user.
Note: After you re-enable a user ID, the user ID remains disabled until the Lockout Duration specified in the User Lockout options in WebLogic has passed.
