1 Introduction

This document provides information for using Inter-Working Function in te 5G Core Network.

Oracle Communications 5G Inter-Working Function is a Cloud-Native solution based on micro-services architecture enabling 5G Core Network Functions (NF) to communicate with EPC network elements.

The Inter-Working Function is deployed as an independent network function in the 5G core network or as the part of Oracle 5G core NFs like Network Repository Function, Security Edge Protection Proxy, and Service Communication Proxy, as an independent micro service within the 5G core NF.
