The network diagram has the following components:

• One KVM switch (Oracle Exadata Database Machine X2-2 only)

• One Ethernet switch

• Eight database servers

• 14 Oracle Exadata Storage Server

• Three InfiniBand switches (third switch is for Oracle Exadata Database Machine X2-2 only)

• Two power distribution units (PDUs)

There are three networks shown in the diagram. The Client Access network, Management network, and InfiniBand network.

The client access network connects to ETH1, ETH2, ETH4, and ETH5 of the database server.

The management network connects to the KVM switch, two PDUs, and the Ethernet switch. From the Ethernet switch, it connects to ETH0 and ILOM of the database server, ETH0 and ILOM of the Exadata Storage Server, and to ETH0 on each of the InfiniBand switches.

The InfiniBand private network connects each of the Infiniband switches to the other Infiniband switches, and to IB0 and IB1 on the database server and Exadata Storage Server.
