Use the Formats panel to select a format for the headers or the data in a crosstab or table or to create new formats. Formats include specifications of fonts, colors, borders, and so on.
View formats for box -- Specifies whether you want the Components box to list formats for headers, data, or both. This allows you to filter the formats that you see.
Components box (untitled) -- Lists available formats for headers, data, or both, depending on your selectio in the View formats for box.
New format buttons -- Creates new header or data formats for a component:
Header button -- Displays the Formats dialog box, in which you can specify attributes for a new header format.
Data button -- Displays the Formats dialog box, in which you can specify attributes for a new data format.
Edit button -- Displays the Formats dialog box, where you can edit the selected format.
Delete button -- Deletes the custom format that is selected in the list box. You cannot delete default formats.
Add button -- Displays an Open dialog box, where you can select a format to add to the list box.
Save As button -- Displays the Save As dialog box, where you can save a selected custom format.
Up arrow button -- Moves the selected custom format up one in the list of formats. The last checked format that applies to a cell determines the formatting of the cell.
Down arrow button -- Moves the selected custom format down one in the list of formats. The last checked format that applies to a cell determines the formatting of the cell.
Sample box -- Displays an example of text that reflects the format choices that you select.
