Table Components

A table component is a part of the table. Each component has its own properties, which you set separately to affect the display of the table.

The following figure shows a Java-client table and its components. An HTML-client table has the same components, though the appearance of the HTML-client components is different.

The following table lists the components of a table and their descriptions.

Databody

The place where data is displayed in the table

Row Header

Row header cells -- number the rows of the table

Column Header

Column header cells -- label the columns of the table

Paging Control

Specifies the page of data that is displayed in the table. This component is not visible by default.

Title

The title of the table -- usually describes the entire table. This component is not visible by default.

Subtitle

The subtitle of the table -- usually describes something about the table. This component is not visible by default.

Footnote

The footnote of the table -- usually describes something about the table. This component is not visible by default.

Note: In a Java-client table, user-interface components make it possible to show components that are not visible by default.
