What Is a Graph Component?

A graph component is a part of the graph. For example, in a line graph, there is a DataLine component, which represents the lines in the graph. In a single pie graph, there is a Slice component, which represents the slices of the pie. The Title, Subtitle, and Footnote are also components in the graph.

Each component represents something that you see in the graph. Each component has its own properties, which you set separately to affect the display of the graph.

To retrieve a component so that you can set its properties, you call the getComponent method of the graph, where Component is the component that you want.
