The following list describes the advanced arithmetic calculations that the CalcBuilder supports.
Cumulative Total -- Calculates the cumulative total of items over a specified dimension.
Example: Cumulate Sales total over the Time dimension.
Index --Calculates the ratio of a measure's value as a percent of a baseline value for the measure.
Example: Calculate the index of gasoline against the price of gasoline on January 1, 2000.
Percent Markup -- Calculates the percent markup between two items.
Example: Calculate the percent markup between Sales and Cost of Goods.
Percent Variance -- Calculates the percent difference between a base measure and a target for that measure.
Example: Calculates the percent variance between Sales and Sales Quota.
Rank -- Calculates the rank of members of a dimension based on the value of the specified dimension.
Example: Calculates the position of 19" color TV Sales in a list of TV sales that is sequenced in descending order from the TV with the largest number of sales to the TV with the smallest number of sales.
Share -- Calculates the ratio of a measure's value for one product dimension member relative to the same measure value at another level.
Example: Calculate the share of 19" color TV Sales to Total Television Sales.
Variance -- Calculates the difference between a base measure and a target for that measure.
Example: Calculates the difference between Sales and Sales Quota.
