The following list identifies the types of changes that you can make to the contents of a query:
Layout changes -- Changes to the layout of dimensions along and within the edges of the query.
Measure list changes -- Changing the measures of a query can affect the dimensions that are available to a query if the change results in different dimensionality from the current set of measures.
Selections -- Changes to the dimension values that are distributed along the edges of the query.
Suppression changes -- Changes to the SuppressionState property of the query impact the number of data values that a query contains.
Metadata map changes -- Changes that reduce or increase the number of metadata types that are available for a dimension
