<explorerDetailDef> Element

The explorerDetailDef element is a member of the following categories:

Use the explorerDetailDef element to create an instance of the oracle.dss.thin.beans.persistence.ExplorerDetail class, which lets you browse the BI Beans Catalog, select a presentation (that is, a crosstab, graph, or table), or identify a folder in which to save a presentation.

Search controls are available as part of the ExplorerDetail object, or you can define an explorerQuickSearch element to specify search controls that are to be displayed in a separate location in the page that contains the ExplorerDetail object.

You can use the scripting variables that are created by this element to get and set attributes of the ExplorerDetail object.

Attributes

id -- (Required) A unique identifier for this element.

scope -- Determines the accessibility and lifetime of the object; select one of the following values: Request or Session (Default). You must use the default value if you want to be able to refer to this element from a different page in your application.

selectObjectPage -- Specifies the UIX page to navigate to after a presentation is selected in the ExplorerDetail object. After a selection occurs, the ExplorerDetail object fires an event to open this page.

selectObjectTargetId -- Specifies the identifier of the object that handles the select object event that is fired by this ExplorerDetail object. For example, a presentationDef element can serve as the target for file that you select. This element must be contained in the page that is specified by the openPage attribute.

rootName -- Specifies the label to display above the default root folder in the BI Beans Catalog. This folder is identified at the time that you create the connection to the Catalog.

allowSearch -- Indicates whether search controls are to be displayed as part of this ExplorerDetail object. If you want to display the search controls separately, then set this attribute to False and use the explorerQuickSearchDef element to define the search controls in the page that contains the explorerDetailDef element.

allowFilter -- Indicates whether to display filter controls as part of this ExplorerDetail object to limit the type of files that are available for selection.

submitFolderPage -- The purpose of this attribute is to specify the page to return to after a folder is selected. Specifies the identifier of the page that contains an element that handles the submit folder event. (This is the page, such as a Save As dialog, that contains the Browse button that provided navigation to this ExplorerDetail object.)

submitFolderTargetId -- Specifies the identifier of the element that handles the submit folder event. This element must be contained in the page that is specified by the submitFolderPage attribute.
