Edit Condition Dialog Box

Use the Edit Condition dialog box to refine a data condition for formatting selected data cells in a crosstab or table. This dialog box modifies conditions that appear in the Rules tab of the Formats dialog box.

Dialog box components

Measure box -- Contains a list of the measures that are included in the crosstab or table.

Operator box -- Specifies the relationship that numbers must have with the number in the Value box in order for the format to apply. For example, if you want to format numbers greater than 200, then set the greater than sign (>) in this box, and set 200 in the Value box.

The operators that appear in this box depend on the data cells that are selected when the Formats panel is displayed. Possible operators are:

Value box -- Specifies the value that formatted numbers should relate to. When the Operator box is set to Between, then this box specifies the beginning of the range that numbers must be between, in order to have formatting applied.

And box -- Specifies the end of the range of numbers that formatted numbers should be between, when the Operator box is set to Between. The range includes both the start and the end of the range. For example, if you format numbers between 120,000 and 150,000, then cells that display 120,000 and those that display 150,000 will be formatted.
