Use the Hidden Dimensions panel to add members of hidden dimensions to a query. Hidden dimensions are dimensions that are related to the selected measures for a query, but are not shown in a view once the query is calculated. In other words, hidden dimensions are not shown in the Selected list of the Dimensions panel. These hidden dimensions are dimensions for the selected measures; therefore, they are included in the dimensions for the selected cube. Use the Items panel to view the selected measures.
The default selection for a hidden dimension is the top level of the default hierarchy.
The Hidden Dimensions panel appears in the:
Wizard mode only if there is a hidden dimension. The Hidden Dimensions panel is useful for reducing the number of pages that are displayed during wizard mode. The Hidden Dimensions panel consolidates the hidden dimensions so that each hidden dimension is not displayed on a separate page in the wizard.
Tabbed mode always.
