Use the Design tab of the BI Beans Settings dialog box to specify settings
that are stored in the BI Designer
object. These settings are used
when you create business intelligence objects in JDeveloper.
Data Source box -- Specifies the OLAP data source that you want to work with; includes the following components:
Connection box -- From the drop-down box, select the name of a connection to an OLAP data source or use one of the buttons to create a new connection or to edit existing connection information.
New button -- Invokes the OLAP Connection wizard so that you can define a new connection to an OLAP data source.
Edit button -- Invokes the OLAP Connection wizard in edit mode so that you can edit information that is associated with an existing connection.
Test button -- Tests the validity of an existing OLAP connection and displays a message to inform you whether the test is successful.
Catalog box -- Specifies a local directory (also known as a local Catalog) for storing business intelligence objects while you develop your application in JDeveloper; includes the following components:
Directory box -- Specify the directory for the local Catalog or use the Browse button to find a directory.
Browse button -- Displays the JDeveloper File Chooser dialog box so that you can select the desired directory.
