Working with Performance Thresholds

Project performance ratings are determined based on thresholds set for each of three metrics: schedule, earned value, and index. Project health is calculated based on the performance schedule thresholds. Use the My Preferences page to set threshold values to aid in evaluating progress against plans for each specific project.

For each performance metric, you can specify the values used to determine if the status of a project is exceptional, acceptable, warning, or critical. For example, if you want to raise a warning flag when the project Cost Performance Index (CPI) falls 5% below 1, set the CPI warning threshold to 5 for the index metric. If the project CPI falls between 5% below 1 and the value set for the critical threshold, the project status will be displayed as Warning in the Index Performance portlet on the Dashboard page.
