This section describes how to upgrade your P6 Professional database to the current release. You need to upgrade your database if you want to preserve your project data for use with the new version of P6 Professional.
Oracle recommends using the upgrade wizard to upgrade your database automatically. There is also a manual upgrade process. See the P6 Professional Manual Upgrade Guide (Microsoft SQL Server Database) for details.
Note: If the currently installed version of P6 Professional is 32-bit, uninstall the existing version before upgrading to version 18.8 or later.
