Use the Select Owner dialog box to specify the P6 Professional user responsible for the activity.
An Activity Owner who has Contributor module access, the appropriate OBS project access, and security privileges (assigned in P6) can use P6 to update the activity.
To verify OBS access before selecting an owner, you can customize the Select Owner dialog box to add the OBS Assignments column. To customize columns, choose View, Columns or click the Display Options bar above the Search field.

Tip
- To support oversight and approval processes, the Activity Owner designation can be combined with the use of the Reflection project feature.
Essentially, a Reflection project is a copy of an active project that is used for what-if analysis. However, unlike a standard what-if project, a Reflection offers project managers the capability to review all changes and merge the changes they choose into the active source project. By offering activity owners OBS access only to a Reflection project, Project Managers can collect the data they require and have the ability to ensure data integrity for the active project.
