Overview
Use this dialog box to import an existing Activity layout from P6 Professional. Select the layout you want to use when drawing the diagram. Then, you can specify who the layout is available to and apply it to a project.
Screen Elements
Browse button
Click to select an existing P6 Professional layout file to import.
Delete button
Click to delete a selected layout.
Layouts list
Displays the layout name and file path of the select layouts. You can delete layouts from this list by clicking the X.
Next button
Click to advance to Step 2: Configure Layouts. You have to select at least one layout to click Next.
Back button
Click to return to Step 1: Select Layouts to Import.
Layout Name field
Displays the name of the layout saved with the file.
Layout Type field
Displays the type of the layout saved with the file.
Available to list
Determines whom the layout is available to: All Users (Global), Project, or Current User (User).
Project list
This list is only enabled if Project is selected in the Available to list. Displays the list of project that appears in the Manage Layouts dialog box.
Help button
Click to launch the help.
Cancel button
Click to close the dialog box without importing your layout.
Import button
Click to import the layout with your specified configurations.
Getting Here
From the Visualizer window, click 
More, then select Import.
