Creating Reporting Users in BI Publisher for P6 EPPM for BI Publisher Security

Create a reporting user in BI Publisher which matches an equivalent user in P6, for every user who will use the reporting feature, to ensure you have users who can run reports in both applications.

To create the administrative user:

  1. Log in to BI Publisher as an administrator.

    Notes:

    • The instructions assume you are using the BI Publisher Security Model.
    • Non-admin users can run reports as well.
  2. Click Administration at the top of your screen.
  3. On the Administration page, click Users under Security Center.
  4. On the Users tab, click Create User.
  5. On the Create User page, enter a Username and Password.
  6. Click Apply.
  7. On the Users tab, click Assign Roles next to the new user.
  8. On the Assign Roles page, assign the P6Reports role.
  9. Click Apply.
