Most manager logs, including Configurable Modules logs, display a static Find window (containing Search By and Search for fields) in order to enable you to find information.
The Planning Manager displays a Searching and Finding: Search Option window which contains search criteria fields.
The Document Manager and Shell work differently and are explained separately. See the following sections for details:
In most manager logs, you will be searching for Sheets. In the following managers, you can search for additional objects:
- In the Cost Manager log, you can search for earned value, general spends, and payment applications.
- In the Resource Manager log, you can search for resources or (if you are in administration mode) roles.
- In the Schedule Manager, you can search for custom calendars.
To search in most manager logs:
- Go to the Company Workspace tab, or open the Project/Shell where the manager resides.
- In the left Navigator, click the manager node you want to search. The manager expands to list sub-nodes.
- If there are sub-nodes in the Navigator, click the sub-node you want to search.
- Click the Find button in the toolbar.
Unifier displays a Find window above the right pane. The window will display different fields, depending on how the manager has been designed.
- Enter your search criteria and click Search (or press Enter on your keyboard). Unifier displays all the items that meet the search criteria you entered.
