The function of bookmarks in Unifier is similar to the bookmarks that you create in a web browser to help you access a web page more quickly, or navigate to frequently used locations.
Note: Unifier does not validate bookmark names, so ensure that you do not add duplicate or confusing bookmark names.
You can add bookmarks to Unifier User Mode functions where you frequently work.
Note: You cannot add bookmarks in Admin mode.
To add bookmarks:
- Go to the tab/node that you want to bookmark.
- From the top right-hand corner, click the Star icon to open the Bookmarks window. The name of the tab/node appears in the Name field. You can modify the name for your bookmark, if you wish.
- Click Add to create a bookmark.
- Close the Bookmark window by clicking outside the Bookmark window.
Note: Accessing a tab/node through a bookmark is based on your user permissions.
To use bookmarks, from the top right-hand corner, click the Star icon to open the Bookmarks window.
Provided that you have permission to access that module, clicking on a bookmark opens the shell or project. The breadcrumbs (locator links) to your current location appear in the upper left-corner of the Unifier window.
Note: If you do not have permission to access a module that you designate as the default, Unifier displays the home page.
To delete, or move, a bookmark:
- Open the bookmark window.
- Scroll on the bookmark that you want to delete/move.
- Hover over the bookmark.
- Click the gear menu (
) and click Delete/Move Up/Move Down.
To rename a bookmark:
- Open the bookmark window.
- Scroll on the bookmark that you want to rename and click to open the bookmark.
- Open the bookmark window, again.
- Change the bookmark name in the Bookmarks field.
To make a bookmark as your default bookmark:
- Open the bookmark window.
- Scroll on the bookmark that you want to make as your default bookmark.
- Click the checkbox, under the Default column, to select the bookmark.
Note: If you do not wish to designate a bookmark as the default module shown to you at sign in, ensure that none of the bookmarks are selected before you close the Bookmarks window.
