Search Rates

The Search Rates option provides access to all rate groups stored in the database. When the Search Rates option is selected from the Data menu-item of the Admin menu, a Rate Search screen displays. This screen allows users to search for rates according to specific search criteria.

Important: Customized rates, or rates that are stored externally to OIPA, are not accessible from the Rate Search screen.

Rate Search

The first section of the Search Rates screen provides a way to search for a particular rate group. There are two search fields labeled Rate Group. The first supports the use of a wild card % percent symbol for cases where the user is unsure of the rate group name. The wild card can be used alone to return all rate groups or with a partial rate group name to return a reduced list. When a wild card is used, the second Rate Group field will contain a drop down list of all possible rate groups matching the partial description.

Rate Effective Dates

The second section of the Search Rates screen presents a grid displaying rate group records as rows in that grid. The rate group Effective Date, Expiration Date, Active From Date, Active To Date, and Action columns are displayed. The user can select a specific rate group by clicking the desired row. A user may export information to a spreadsheet by clicking on the Export icon in the Action column.

Rate Criteria

The third section of the Search Rates screen displays the rate criteria associated with the rate group. The criteria will vary depending on the rate group. Individual criteria can be selected or criteria can be grouped together as a filter to locate specific rates from the rate group. If all rate information from the rate group is needed, click Filter without selecting any rate criteria.

The rate criteria is pulled from the rate group fields that were defined when the rate group was created. Valid values for these fields are code values as defined in AsCode. Click the Filter button when all necessary criteria are entered.

User may edit a Rate by clicking on the Edit icon and then save the changes by clicking on the Save button.

Rate Group

After selecting for a particular Rate Group and filtering the results by specifying the Rate Criteria, selecting the Rate Group option will display a summary of information with all the Rate Group details. The user can edit the editable fields and click on Save to save the changes.

Link Rate

The Link Rate option allows the user to create relationships or to establish associations. When the user click on the Link Rate Option, two sections are displayed on screen.

The first section of the screen will allow the user to link Rate Group. The Select Entity drop-down should display values, based upon prior configuration. Upon selection of a value, the user can click on the Find button to search against the value selected from the drop-down menu. The search section shall be populated with results for that entity. The search results grid will hold the title 'Entity Name' SEARCH RESULTS. The first column contains a check-box for each of the rows and checking these check-boxes will select that entity for submission to create relationship. More than one check-box can be selected and submitted to establish relationship. Select an appropriate value from the Relationship Purpose drop-down. Click on the Save button to create the relationship. If a relationship already exists in the system for the selected Relationship Purpose, the system would display a "Relationship already exists" warning message and ignore the linking. Clicking on Cancel would not create the relationship and refresh the screen.

The second section allows the user to view the already linked entities with the currently selected Rate Group. The first column in the search results grid, Entity displays the entity type code value as result. The second column displays the corresponding entity Name. The third column indicates the Relationship Purpose for that relationship. The Action column lists the commands like the Delete button that allows the user to remove a relationship.
