Deploying the Siebel Application Interface

After successfully creating the Siebel Application Interface (SAI) profile, deploy the profile by doing the following:

1. Navigate the Siebel Management Console (SMC) to the Siebel Deployment Hierarchy and click the plus (+) icon.
2. Select Application Interface Server.
3. Enter the following information:

   • Host and Port. This the host where the SAI components are installed and the HTTPS port number that was specified during that installation (for example, myserver.mycompany.com:443).

   • Action. If you are planning to deploy immediately, select Deploy.

   • Application Interface Node. It is recommended that you use the name of the physical host. For example, if your host is myserver.mycompany.com, then use myserver as the host.

   When you submit the request, the SMC instructs the SAI to expose an entry point into the Siebel CRM application for each application defined in the profile. For example: https://myserver.mycompany.com:443/siebel/app/callcenter/enu and https://myserver.mycompany.com:443/siebel/app/webtools/enu.
   Unlike other component types, you can make changes to the SAI profile that have already been deployed, and these changes take effect immediately without needing to redeploy.
