About Siebel Configurator UI Control Combo Box

Prior to Siebel CRM 25.1, UI Control Combo Box are rendered as standard HTML drop-down list. You cannot enter value into the field, and you must open the list to select the value. You cannot filter the available values displayed in the list.

Starting with Siebel CRM 25.1, UI Control Combo Box are rendered as autocomplete or type-ahead drop-down list.

Autocomplete drop-down list enables you to click a down arrow next to a field to select from a list of available values. You can type the field value in a field for drop-down list. You can also type part of the text string for a field value to automatically decrease the number of available values that appears in the drop-down list for the field, and then you can select the appropriate value for the field.

Note: The auto complete drop-down list rendering can be disabled to restore to standard HTML drop-down list as below.

1. In Oracle's Web Tools, locate the applet Cfg Cx Runtime Instance Frame (JS HI).

2. Locate the Applet User Property Enable Auto-Complete.

3. Change the value to false.
