This figure shows a sample secure configuration of a WebLogic Server environment. It includes three tiers:
An external tier that includes two workstations above a firewall. Each workstation shows a connection to the firewall labeled HTTPS. Next to the firewall is red text that reads "No non-HTTPS (T3/T3s/IIOP/IIOPs) traffic allowed."
A web tier that includes a box labeled Load Balancer, and two boxes each labeled HTTP Server. There is a traffic line through the Load Balancer and split to each of the HTTP Servers, labeled HTTPS. Below the HTTP Server boxes is another firewall.
An application tier that consists of a WebLogic Server domain configured with an Administration Server and two Managed Servers, each represented by a blue box. The text preceding the diagram describes the connections and configured channels between the web tier and the application tier.
Inside the application tier is another firewall separating the Administrative clients and the Trusted Clients from the Administration and Managed Servers. Above that firewall is red text that reads "Non-HTTPS (T3/T3s/IIOP/IIOPs) traffic allowed from trusted client IP addresses only." The text preceding the diagram describes the connections between the clients and the servers.
