Creating Basic Project Information in P6 EPPM

To create basic project information in P6 EPPM:

  1. Sign in to P6 EPPM as a administrator or a user.
  2. In the Projects menu, select a project.
  3. In the EPS page, expand an EPS node and select a row to identify a project.
    1. Select the General detail window.
    2. Confirm the information for the following fields of the project: Project ID, Project Name, Description, Project Status, Project Owner, Project Planned Start and Must Finish By dates.

      or

      Add a new P6 project with the above project data.

  4. (Optional) Complete this step only if a Primavera Cloud Workspace code can be associated with a project.

    Note: The Primavera Cloud Workspace code is available in P6 EPPM only if the master data synchronization was previously run from Gateway. For more details, see Running Create Workspace Structure in P6 as Primavera Cloud Workspace code Synchronization.

    1. Select the Codes detail window and select Assign....
    2. In the Available codes section, expand the Primavera Cloud Workspace node and select a workspace code.
    3. Select Forward to move the selected workspace to the Selected codes section and select Assign.
  5. Select Save.
