Creating a Project with Scope Information in Primavera Cloud

Create a project in Primavera Cloud with WBS, work package, scope items, and scope assignments. Link the scope assignments to activities and create a baseline for the project as follows:

  1. Sign in to Primavera Cloud as a global administrator or an application administrator with permissions to integrate data.
  2. In the object selector, select a workspace, and then select View All Projects....
  3. In the top section of the Projects for ,<workspace> page, select a project row.
  4. Add a WBS and a work package to the project as follows:
    1. In the sidebar, select the Schedule app, and then select WBS.
    2. Select Add....
    3. In the Code field, enter an ID for the WBS.
    4. In the Name field, enter a name for the WBS.
    5. Select Save.
    6. In the Work Packages detail window, select + Add Work Packages.
    7. In the Add Work Packages dialog box, enter the following information:
      • In the Name field, enter a name for the work package.
      • In the ID field, an auto-generated work package ID displays.
  5. Add an activity to your project as follows:
    1. In the sidebar, select the Schedule app, and then select Activities.
    2. Select Add....
    3. In the Name field, double-click and enter a name for the activity.
    4. In the ID field, double-click and enter an ID for the activity.
    5. Select Save.
  6. Associate each activity with a WBS and a work package, and percent complete type as follows:
    1. Select an activity that was created in the previous step.
    2. Select the General detail window:
      1. In the WBS Name field, search and select a WBS for the activity.
      2. In the Work Package Name field, search and select the work package for the activity.
      3. Select Scope from the Percent Complete Type list, and select Save.
    3. In the Scope Assignments detail window, select Quantity from the Scope Percent Complete Method list.
  7. Add scope items, scope assignments, and create original costs and quantities as follows:
    1. In the sidebar, select the Scope app, and then select Scope Items.
    2. Select + Add.
    3. In the General detail window, enter the ID, Name, and Original Quantity for the scope item, and Save.
  8. Add scope assignments, and link the scope assignments to activities as follows:
    1. In the sidebar, select the Scope app, and then select Scope Assignments.
    2. Select + Add.
    3. In the Select Scope Item dialog box, search and select a scope item to associate with a scope assignment.
    4. In the Activities detail window, select Link to associate a scope assignment with an activity.
  9. Add a baseline for the scope as follows:
    1. In the sidebar, select the Scope app, and then select Baselines.
    2. Select Add Baseline....
    3. In the Add Baseline dialog box, enter a name for the baseline, and select Add.
    4. Select Save.
  10. Show progress in the original baseline as follows:
    1. In the sidebar, select the Scope app, and then select Scope Assignments.
    2. Select Status.
    3. Enter values for Installed Quantities of each scope item and select Save.
  11. In the sidebar, select the Schedule app, and then select Activities.

    Confirm the Scope Percent Complete and the Activity Percent Complete are calculated automatically.
