Categories are the basic building blocks of the system. Like a column in a spreadsheet, a category either contains or calculates the properties of items and/or portfolios.
A category can hold a value and/or a color indicator.
Categories are used throughout the system: They appear as objects in the Investor Maps, as values in the Workbook, Scorecards and Forms, and as graphs in Dashboards.
