PIA Install and Reinstall Options

The PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) installer enables you to create a new WebLogic server domain or update a valid existing WebLogic domain. A valid domain is a domain built by the PIA installer in the PS_HOME directory that you specify.

Depending on which option you select, you're prompted for additional information relevant to that selection. When creating a new domain, you're prompted to select from three configuration types: Single-server, multi-server and distributed managed server. If you select to update an existing domain, you're prompted to indicate which domain you would like to update and what type of update you would like to perform. These options are described in detail in your PeopleSoft installation documentation.
