Grant Yourself Permissions

When you import a new portfolio, you must grant permission (to yourself, another administrator, or group such as Company Administrators) to configure the portfolio and set up period structures in the Standards & Libraries.

To grant configure permissions:

Go to the Company Workspace tab and switch to Admin mode.
In the left Navigator, select User Administration, and then select Access Control.
In the right pane, expand Administration Mode Access, expand Configuration, expand All, and then select Portfolio Manager.
In the Module Permission Settings window, click the Add button. The Permission/Access Control window opens.
Click the Add Users/Groups button. The User/Group Picker opens.
Select the user(s) to whom you want to give configuration permission and click the Add button. Then click OK.
The system adds the name(s) to the Permission/Access Control window.
Under Permission Settings, select Configure and click OK.
The system adds the name(s) to the Permission Settings window.
Click OK.

To grant permissions to create period structures:

Go to the Company Workspace tab and switch to Admin mode.
In the left Navigator, select User Administration, and then select Access Control.
In the right pane, expand Administration Mode Access, expand Standards & Libraries, and then select Period Structure. See Create Period Structures.
In the Module Permission Settings window, click the Add button. The Permission/Access Control window opens.
Click the Add Users/Groups button. The User/Group Picker opens.
Select the user(s) to whom you want to give configuration permission and click the Add button. Then click OK. The system adds the name(s) to the Permission/Access Control window.
Under Permission Settings, select Create and click OK. The system adds the name(s) to the Permission Settings window.
On the Permission Settings window, click OK.
