Grant Yourself Permissions
When you import a new portfolio, you must grant permission (to yourself, another administrator, or group such as Company Administrators) to configure the portfolio and set up period structures in the Standards & Libraries.
To grant configure permissions:
- Go to the Company Workspace tab and switch to Admin mode.
- In the left Navigator, select User Administration, and then select Access Control.
- In the right pane, expand Administration Mode Access, expand Configuration, expand All, and then select Portfolio Manager.
- In the Module Permission Settings window, click the Add button. The Permission/Access Control window opens.
- Click the Add Users/Groups button. The User/Group Picker opens.
- Select the user(s) to whom you want to give configuration permission and click the Add button. Then click OK.
The system adds the name(s) to the Permission/Access Control window.
- Under Permission Settings, select Configure and click OK.
The system adds the name(s) to the Permission Settings window.
- Click OK.
To grant permissions to create period structures:
- Go to the Company Workspace tab and switch to Admin mode.
- In the left Navigator, select User Administration, and then select Access Control.
- In the right pane, expand Administration Mode Access, expand Standards & Libraries, and then select Period Structure. See Create Period Structures.
- In the Module Permission Settings window, click the Add button. The Permission/Access Control window opens.
- Click the Add Users/Groups button. The User/Group Picker opens.
- Select the user(s) to whom you want to give configuration permission and click the Add button. Then click OK. The system adds the name(s) to the Permission/Access Control window.
- Under Permission Settings, select Create and click OK. The system adds the name(s) to the Permission Settings window.
- On the Permission Settings window, click OK.
