Custom Curve

You can create a Custom curve when you want to create and compare curves in a Cash Flow worksheet, but you do not want to associate them with data sources of the other curve types (Baseline, Forecast, Actuals (or "spends"), or Portfolio).

The ORACLE PROJECT TEMPLATE includes an Estimate cash flow curve. You must have the necessary permissions to use the Master Schedule activity sheet to populate cash flow dates. The summarized Estimate amount will come from the Approved Estimates column on the Project Cost Sheet. Predefined distribution curves are available or costs can be spread manually. Using the Estimate cash flow curve facilitates capital planning before an Initial Budget is created, which subsequently creates a Forecast cash flow curve. For more information on incorporating the Estimate cash flow curve in your templates and projects/shells, see Updating the Cash Flow Properties in the ORACLE PROJECT TEMPLATE in the Unifier Essentials Modules Setup Administration Guide.

Custom curves are not available for cash flow by Business Process (Commitments).

The Custom curve setup is essentially the same as setting up Baseline curves.

Note: The following procedures describe how to add a curve type to an existing cash flow (using the Detail Level column of the Cash Flow log for the project/shell) that does not have a curve.
