Unifier Essentials 24.12

Tenant Switching in Android

An option to Switch Company is added to the Settings screen if a user has access to multiple tenants. Tap the option to display a list of available companies. Switching to a new company is preceded by a warning that locally saved data for offline use will be erased and data for the new instance will be loaded.

Project Directory Support

The Unifier mobile app for Android now supports project directories. Administrators control whether company or partner users can save user profiles for offline use; users can use a project directory to initiate calls, send messages, and send emails directly from a contact's profile within the application. This feature was previously available only for iOS; this enhancement adds Android support.

Portfolio Manager

Cost Distribution Process Improvement

This version of Unifier sees upgrades in how costs are distributed for PPM grid and Gantt views.

Changing the start date in a portfolio sheet will now also cause costs to shift for the end date. When the start date updates in the project details, the end date now changes. And for Capital Planning functionality, the cost distribution is shifted for the entire period when either start or end dates are changed.

Import / Export

Honor Logged-in User Preferences when Validating Import File Data

Unifier will honor user preferences – not those of the business process auto-creator – when validating data in an imported file. This simplifies error resolution.

Integration

Enhanced Record Security when Removing a User from a Selected Record Workflow

When a partner company user is removed from a record and that user is the only representative from that company on that record, the company's permission to access the record is also removed.

Removals and Deprecations

AutoVue (deprecated in 24.10)

AutoVue has been replaced by the Unifier Viewer. This provides a superior user experience since it is embedded within the browser and not running as a stand-alone Java application.

All SOAP Services (originally deprecated in 23.10; planned to be removed in 25.10)

We have provided Rest Services for the majority of the SOAP services. The few remaining gaps, which are not commonly used, will be provided in a future release. For the last several years we have only provided Rest Services, so there is now a large number of new services that are only supported via Rest. Customers currently using SOAP should migrate to Rest.
