About Web Links

Web links can be selected similar to other fields, but with the following restrictions:

• Web links can only be used with the following record types:

  • Account

  • Contact

  • Lead

  • Opportunity

• The following Web links can be used:

  • mailto. This opens the default mail client.

  • http. This opens a Web page using the default Web browsing client.

  • https. This opens a secure Web page using the default Web browsing client.

• The following Oracle CRM On Demand Web link configuration values are ignored:

  • Web Link Target

  • Display Options

  • Active Link Condition and Display Link Condition

  • Request Method (GET is always used)
