Working with Quick Calendar Entry
The Quick Calendar is available in the following business process types that were designed to be "calendar-enabled."
- Document
- Line Item or Simple
The Quick Calendar is available for Space Manager.
Note: The functions of the options presented below have been explained in the preceding sections (Reservation Business Process). This section explains new functions and procedural differences.
The following scenarios describe the details when you click the Calendar option.
Viewing a Calendar in View only mode from log for Month: Viewing details of an existing event
The default view of the Calendar is set to Month.
When you hover over a date, on which an event or reservation has been created, the tool-tip (Details) displays all event details such as:
- Name (Event)
- From (time)
- To (time)
- Status
- Creator
When clicking on the Event, a Detail overlay is displayed with Name (time), From (time), To (Date), Status & Creator.
The Tentative events are marked with a gray bullet, and the Confirmed events are marked with a green bullet.
Create event in month view
When you click on a date, for which an event has not created, an overlay is displayed. In the Details overlay, you can enter values for:
- Name (Event)
- From (time)
- To (time)
- Status
Note: You must have permission to make Quick Calendar entries.
When you click the calendar symbol (next to From and To fields), the calendar opens and you can pick a date.
The Creator field is auto-populated with the name of the signed-in user.
When you click Done, the event details are saved, the overlay screen closes, and the saved event is displayed on the Calendar.
When you click Cancel, the event details will not be saved and the overlay screen closes.
Edit event in month view
When you double-click on a date cell, for an existing event, the Details overlay screen is displayed.
Click Delete to remove the event.
Click Edit to open an overlay screen and edit the event details.
Viewing a calendar in View only mode from log for Week (Viewing details of an existing event)
Upon hovering over a date, on which an event/reservation has been created, the date will be highlighted by en-circling it in Red color.
When you hover over an Event, the date of the event is highlighted by en-circling it in Red color.
A tool-tip, Details, opens and displays the event details such as:
- Name (Event)
- From (time)
- To (time)
- Status
- Creator
The Tentative events are highlighted in gray, and the Confirmed events are highlighted in green.
Create event in week view
When you click on a date, for which an event has not created, an overlay is displayed. In the Details overlay, you can enter values for:
- Name (Event)
- From (time)
- To (time)
- Status

View mode for Day view
The events displayed for the day are marked with green highlight, in case the event is confirmed.
The events displayed for the day are marked with grey highlight, in case the event is tentative.
As a result, when you click an event, if the event status is confirmed, the event is marked with green highlight, and if the event status is tentative, the event is marked with grey highlight.
The event details for both cases above are displayed.
Create event in day view
When you click on a time cell in Day view, an overlay is displayed. In the Details overlay, you can enter values for:
- Name (Event)
- From (time)
- To (time)
- Status
