The email tab enables you to enter your personal email settings.
E-mail Protocol
Email Protocol: Specify the protocol your email program uses.
Mail Server Login
Mail Login Name/Profile Name: Your email user or profile name, depending on your email configuration. You can type a new user or profile name.
Password: Click to change your current mail password.
Mail Configuration
Outgoing Mail Server ( SMTP): The SMTP server name or address to use when sending email. You can type a new address.
Security: The security protocol to use for connecting to the SMTP server. P6 Professional supports the use of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), Transport Layer Security (TLS), or no security protocol.
SMTP Port: The TCP/IP port of the outgoing SMTP server. This field is mandatory.
User Name: The user name of the account to send mail from the mail server. This field is not mandatory. However if you select a user name, you must click the Password button to provide the appropriate password for the account.
User email Address: The return email address for your email messages. If you do not enter an email address, all replies are sent to the same email address from which you send your outgoing messages. You can type a new email address.
