You can move menu commands from one menu to another, or rearrange commands in a single menu. For example, you could rearrange all menu commands to list the commands you use most often at the top of each menu, or you could add all the commands you use frequently to a single menu.
- Choose View, Toolbars, Customize.
Opening the Customize dialog box switches the menus into Edit mode, which enables you to move menu commands. You do not need to use the Customize dialog to move menu commands; however, you must leave the dialog open to enable you to move menu commands. - Click the menu label to expand the menu, then click the command you want to move.
- Drag the command to the menu label in which you want to place the command (this expands the menu), then continue dragging the command to place it in the appropriate position within the expanded menu.
You must complete this step even if you want to move the command within the same menu.
Tip
- You can revert to the default settings for all toolbars and menus.
