Specify the interval to summarize and store resource spreads

By calendar: Choose this option if you want to summarize and store activity and resource spreads according to the calendar intervals you specify in the WBS Level and Resource/Role Assignment Level fields. This option is selected by default.

Note:

WBS Level: Choose the time interval, such as week or month, for storing summarized activity data.

Resource/Role Assignment Level: Choose the time interval, such as week or month, for storing summarized resource data.

By financial period: Select this option if you want to summarize and store activity and resource data in financial period intervals that correspond to the range of financial periods defined in the Financial Periods dictionary. Choosing this option enables P6 Professional to accurately display all activity and resource data (both actual to date and past period actual) in financial period timescale intervals.

P6 Professional Online Help URL

When you select the Online Help option from the Help menu, the URL that is specified in this section will launch. By default, the P6 Professional Online Help URL field is populated with the version hosted by Oracle, http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E63417_01_01/client_help/. The language that is used forhelp is determined by the user's language selection under Tools. You can set your own URL location. If the P6 Professional Online Help URL field is blank, the Online Help option on the Help menu is disabled for all users.

The Always launch Online Help for the F1 shortcut key and context-sensitive help option is not selected by default. By default, local help will launch when you use the F1 key and help shortcut icons. If the P6 Professional Online Help URL field is blank, this option is disabled and local help will always launch.

Document Security

Invalid document types: Provide a comma-separated list of file types P6 Professional should not accept for upload of documents. Oracle recommends that at least the default values of .exe, .com, .bat, .cmd, .vbs, .js, and .msi should be entered in this field.
