Specify the resource type for resources
- Choose Enterprise, Resources.
- Select the resource whose resource type you want to enter.
- Click the Details tab.
- To indicate that the selected resource performs labor, which is measured in units of time, choose Labor.
- To indicate that the selected resource does not perform labor, for example, if the resource is equipment, choose Nonlabor. The nonlabor resource is measured in units of time.
- To indicate that the selected resource is measured in units other than time, choose Material.
If you selected Material as the resource type, select a unit of measure for the resource.
Note
- When connected to a P6 EPPM database: You can define a unit of measure for material resources using P6.
- When connected to a P6 Professional database: You can define a unit of measure for material resources in the Units of Measure tab of Admin Categories, in the Admin menu.
