Unified Search

The unified search combines all the different entity search mechanisms into a single search mechanism. It unifies all the searches into single search based on the entity order set under the Preferences > Other Preferences.

The user can perform search in two ways using the below options:

Search Button

The Search drop-down displays options to search the specific entities among Policy, Case, Client, Customer, Suspense, Disbursement, Group/List Bill, Batch etc.

  1. Select the entity to search from the Search drop-down.
  2. Enter the search string in the text box.
  3. Click the Search button. The search result is displayed for the specified criteria.

Note: User can use wildcard character (%) for wild searches. Unified Search will be disabled when a Batch entity is selected with no instances.

Advanced Search

This option provides user the flexibility to go to advanced search in order to refine further the search by adding more search criteria.

  1. Click the Advanced Search Advanced Search icon. The Advanced Search screen appears with the list of entities.
  2. Select the entity from the left-hand menu and in the advanced search dynamic fields, select the filter criteria.

  3. Click Search. The search result is displayed for the specified criteria.

Note: The dynamic fields change as per the filter criteria and not the search criteria.

From V12, it no longer automatically navigates to the entity in case of single exact match; irrespective of number of matches, the user will be presented with a Search Results screen with a More menu. Hover over the More menu. It displays Go To <Entity> option. Click Go To <Entity> to navigate to the entity screen. The user can also click Entity to view the Entity screen.
