Amendments or Endorsements

Amendments or Endorsements refers to the changes to the application which might occur during the NBU process. The system is capable of automatically creating Amendments and Endorsements based on a change or changes to field values. In addition, the system is able to support the manual creation of Amendments and Endorsements. An interface to view, edit and delete Amendments and Endorsements that have been associated with a particular application is provided.

Users can manually create Amendment and Endorsements in the application. Once created the system allows users to modify or correct an Amendment or Endorsement after it has been added to the Case. In order to support these requirements application level transactions is used for Amendments and Endorsements, which provides the greatest level of flexibility and breadth of functionality.

The system logs changes made to the Application, Coverage, Client, Role, or Address screens on a policy between original Submit and the Issue Document transaction. In order to support ability to create Amendments and Endorsements as a result of field changes the event spawn configuration is implemented in the system. The syntax to automatically spawn transactions from a screen using event configuration is consistent with the current OIPA implementation for the ClientScreen and AddressScreen.

For advanced search of application PolicySearchScreen rule is used. PolicySearchScreen rule is used when application needs to be searched to associate with case.

When the user clicks on the application menu of central add then the user shall be taken on add application screen. The application screen uses the policyscreen rule. User can see all the fields configured in policyscreen rule on application screen. Application captures all the information necessary for underwriting. PolicyScreen rule is overridable at NBU system level.
