Foreground on Overflow
Documaker 12.7.1 allows a new section property called Foreground on Overflow.
At times, it is desired to have a section - typically a header or footer - that is defined on page one of a form, but is not expected to be shown unless copied on overflow to the subsequent pages by pagination.
Remember, a footer - even a hidden one - still impacts pagination. If a section on the page encroaches the hidden footer then that section will “break” to the next page.
Depending upon how the form is generated and data mapped, the solution to this situation may be to dynamically delete the footer from that first page during the generation process. However, there are times - especially certain WIP edit situations - where the section really must remain defined on page one and cannot be deleted. Without this new option, such a section would continue to impact pagination starting from page one.
This new Foreground on Overflow option is tied using the combination of both the Background Section and Copy on Overflow properties. Background sections do not affect pagination or the origin of other sections on the page - think watermark images. Copy on Overflow means that the section should be copied to any new pages create when the sections on the page overflow to new pages. Without this new property, the combination of background and copy-on-overflow section simply means the section remains a background section on all the generated pages.

When the user checks both Background and Copy on Overflow, a new Foreground on overflow property appears. The two options are pre-requisites to see this new property.
This new property means that when the section is copied to a new page - due to the copy on overflow property - then the Background Section option will be disabled and the section now begins to impact pagination.
