Output Mapping

The output mapping function is where you can select the results that you want displayed in the output file. You can select any number of elements you want; result, field, table or calculated variables, global or local. Results are mapped to the rating output file based on how you want to view the data. This might include premiums, rating factors, driver ages, etc.

The Output Mapping tab is also where rating worksheets are managed. A Rating Worksheet in RateManager is an XML document that conveys the basic information used to establish individual rates and premiums. The output is based on the current value of the terms at that point in the execution of the step. For example, if result A is being used in step 3 of algorithm 1 and then again in step 5 of algorithm 10, the value of result A will be shown twice in the worksheet – once for algorithm 1 and once for algorithm 10. You select the steps where you want to see the current values. The output reflects the current value at the point of execution of the algorithm. The XML document can be carried into most existing systems where it can be used and formatted in a report to fit your needs.
