Use the Benefit Clone Utility (BN_CLONE) component to clone a benefit program, coverage formula, eligibility rule, event rule, or life event template.

Benefit Clone Utility Page

BN_CLONE

  • Clone a benefit program. Create a copy of an existing benefit program. Give the duplicated program a new effective date and choose whether to give the program a new name.

  • Clone a coverage formula. Create a copy of an existing coverage formula and give the duplicated formula a new name and effective date.

  • Create a copy of an existing eligibility or event rule for Benefits Administration.

  • Clone an existing life event template for eBenefits. Create a copy of an existing life event template. Give the duplicated life event template a new name and effective date and indicate whether the life event template is currently active.

This group box enables you to define the name of the new object being created. The fields in this group box vary depending on the type of object you are cloning. You can specify the effective date for a benefit program, coverage formula, eligibility rule, or event rule. Additionally, for a benefit program object, you can specify whether the program type is automated or manual. For a life event template, you can select the life event type and specify whether the template is currently active.
