Installing Job Service
Job Service enables you to automate certain functions. You can apply actuals, run a batch report, export projects, schedule projects, and summarize projects. These operations run in the background at specified intervals. Job Service runs as a Windows 2003/2008 service and can support an unlimited number of jobs, each with its own schedule of execution. Jobs are defined in P6 Professional and stored in the organization's project management database.
Note: The Job Service component is available under Advanced Options.
