Project Checker Dialog Box

Use the Project Checker to evaluate the project data in relation to unique key constraints, foreign key constraints, and P6 Professional business rules. The report checks for problems with unique key constraints, foreign key constraints, and violations of the P6 Professional business rules.

Select Projects

Available Projects: The list of all projects in the database, grouped by EPS.

Add to list: Moves the selected projects to the Selected Projects list.

Remove from list: Removes the selected projects from the Selected Projects list.

Selected Projects: The list of projects against which the project checker will report.

Options

Business Rule Checks: Choose to check for business rule violations, including orphaned and mismatched data.

Foreign Key Checks: Choose to check for missing foreign keys.

Unique Key Checks: Choose to check for violations of unique key rules.

Report

Save Report To: The path and filename to use for saving the report file.

Group By Options: Choose to group the report output according to the options you selected. If you do not select this option, the report will list all check results as a flat list.

Overwrite Existing: Choose to overwrite existing reports in the file location. If you do not select this option, the date and time in reverse notation will be appended to the report file name.

Run Priority Checks Only: Choose to run only Important and Significant checks. If you do not select this option, all checks will be run, including Moderate and Low severity checks.

Report Errors Only: Choose to report only the errors found by the Project Checker. This reduces the length of the report because checks that did not find any errors are not included in the report. If you do not select this option, the report lists all checks that were run, even if the check found no errors.
