Viewing the project checker report

After the project checker has completed, you will be given the option to view the report. However, you can also view the report by opening the html file manually. You can configure the file location for the report in the Report section of the Project Checker dialog box. If you do not configure a location, the report is saved in your Documents folder on the machine you were using when you ran the report, for example, C:\Users\<username>\Documents). The default name for the file is ProjectCheckReport.html. However, if you selected not to overwrite existing reports, P6 Professional will append the date and time in reverse notation to the file name. For example, if you ran the report at 9:30:42 on April 17th, 2023, the report name will be ProjectCheckReport202304017093042.html.

The top of the report provides an overview grid. The grid breaks down the report results by check group (Business Rules, Foreign Key, and Unique Key) and the severity (Important, Significant, Moderate, and Low). You can view the failed checks for each grouping and severity cross-section by clicking on the number in the appropriate cell, or you can click a link below the table to view the entire report. You can view the SQL query used to check for each report criteria.
