Architecture Overview

Unifier is a Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE platform) web application. Unifier uses J2EE platform specification to build a flexible and scalable cross-platform solution. The J2EE platform consists of a set of industry-standard services, application programming interfaces (APIs), and protocols that collectively provide the functionality needed for developing multi-tiered, web-based, and enterprise applications.

The division of tiers enables Unifier to scale according to the performance demands. The main tiers of Unifier are:
