Impact of Base Currency on Currency for Shells or Templates in Source and Destination
When you import a configuration package that includes different currencies, you must decide how the system should process changes. For example, if the package contains new templates or shells that are set to use a currency that does not match the destination’s Base Currency setting, the system automatically selects the checkbox in the Replace Shell Currency in Destination column includes a check box. If you want the new Shell Templates or Single Instance Shells included in the package to retain their different currency settings, you must deselect (clear) the check box.
The following table provides examples that show the effect of currency settings.
Source’s Base Currency | Destination’s Base Currency | Checkbox for Destination | Result of Import |
---|---|---|---|
Base Currency: USD Shell or Template: USD | Base Currency: USD | Not displayed as currencies match | No change to currency |
Base Currency: USD Shell or Template: USD | Base Currency: INR | Displayed; selected by default | Selected: Shell or Template currency changes to INR Deselected: Shell or Template currency remains USD |
Base Currency: INR Shell or Template: INR | Base Currency: USD | Displayed; selected by default | Selected: Shell or Template currency changes to USD Deselected: Shell or Template currency remains INR |
