Including Tooltip

To add a tooltip to a business process form:

  1. Go to the Company Workspace tab and switch to Admin mode.
  2. In the left Navigator, click uDesigner > Business Processes.
  3. Open the business process for which you want to create the upper form.
  4. In the Navigator, click Upper Forms. The Form Designer - Upper Form window opens.
  5. From the toolbar options, click Tooltip to open the Tooltip window.
  6. Double-click a Data Element to open the Edit Tooltip window, where you can change the tooltip.

If a data element in a BP form contains a tooltip (associated in the design), at runtime a question mark (?) symbol appears next to that field.

When you click the Tooltip option, the Tooltip window opens which displays the following information in columns:

The Tooltip window has the following toolbar options:

When you open the Tooltip window from the Upper Forms, all unique data elements from across all the Action and View forms are displayed.

Note: If a data element exists in multiple forms, the data element will only appear on this window once.

The data elements can be read-only or editable.

When you open the Tooltip window from the Detail Form, the data elements from across all the line item detail forms are displayed.

When you open the Tooltip window from the Attribute form, the data elements present in the Attribute form are displayed.

When you click the Update from Data Element Properties, the Update tooltip Description window opens which contains the following information in columns:

You can select multiple items from the list.

The list of data elements are filtered based on the data elements available in the Tooltip window. You can select one or multiple fields and click Update. When you click Update, Unifier processes the changes and updates the tooltip contents.
