Adding Mobile Data Elements

Hidden blocks in the form will not be displayed in the mobile app. If you place a required field in a hidden block, the app will not display the required field. As a result, if the required field does not have a value, then the user will not be able to submit the record. In a scenario that you must place a required field in a hidden block, you can set up the mobile data elements list in a way that it can include the auto-populated value of the required field in the hidden block.

In such scenario, you must ensure that you include the auto-populate source in the mobile data elements list. The same rule will be applicable to formula fields, in addition to using auto-population. You must ensure that the elements added to the mobile form meet all the validation rules for a successful record submission.
