Prerequisites and Requirements

This section presents the integration prerequisites and requirements for PeopleSoft General Ledger.

  • PeopleTools release must be 8.53.06 or later to accommodate ChartField value file transfer.

  • Configure the Integration Broker gateway and delivered web service for ChartField integration

  • Complete the necessary configuration within PeopleSoft General Ledger prior to the implementation of this integration (setup of Business Units, Ledgers, ChartField Configuration, Combination Editing, InterUnit and IntraUnit definitions, and so on).

  • Complete the necessary configuration within Fusion Accounting Hub and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI). Configuration includes setup of corresponding Fusion accounting periods, ledgers, Segment values, and so on.

Note: See the “Fusion Accounting Hub Integration with PeopleSoft General Ledger” white paper for configuration steps for Oracle’s Fusion Accounting Hub and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

Following are requirements for integrating Fusion Accounting Hub with PeopleSoft General Ledger:

  • Manually maintain synchronization of ledgers, calendars, and accounting periods within the respective systems (PeopleSoft and Fusion (3rd party)

  • Each external accounting entry header must have only one accounting date.

  • Inter/IntraUnit balancing entries are created by PeopleSoft during the 3rd Party Integration Post Application Engine process.

  • The third party accounting entries must be balanced by transaction header (except for InterUnit entries as PeopleSoft creates the InterUnit balancing entries when the 3rd Party Integration Post Application Engine process invokes the InterUnit Processor)

  • Unbalanced transactions are rejected by PeopleSoft; therefore, third party systems are responsible for adjusting and creating a new transaction. You can review and close unbalanced transactions from within PeopleSoft

  • Summary ledger and Multibook translation processing must occur within the PeopleSoft system

  • This integration does not support the following functionality:

    1. Budget, Commitment Control, or statistics transactions.

    2. Alternate accounts or detail project ChartFields (only Project ID).

    3. Rounding treatment, decimal precision change, or foreign exchange conversion.
