Understanding Event Categories, Process Events, and Individual Events

It is important to understand the relationship between event categories, process events (and sub-events), and individual events.

Event Category

An event category enables you to categorize several event types. Therefore, if you choose to map event assignments for team members at the event category level, then this is the easiest to setup your system.

Process Event

A process event is another way to group event types and usually refers to a group of tasks that need to be completed in order to be considered complete. Process events are only used for the Recruiting Funnel feature.

Individual Event

An individual event is the most detailed setup you can create because it refers to specific events that you associate to a user.

A user can be assigned to an event category, a process event, and an individual event at same time. Therefore, all events available within an event category, a process event, and an individual event are available to the user.
