Configuring Options for Runtime Search Pages
To configure search options, use the Search Page Definition (RB_VRTY_PG_CFG) component.
This section discusses how to configure search options and associate search options with search sources.

Use the Search Page Definitions page (RB_VRTY_PAGE_CONFG) to define the search behavior and word variation options for the basic and advanced modes.

Use this page to specify search options for both basic and advanced search modes and the default search mode for use in searches at runtime.

Basic Search Options
The Basic Search Options group box sets the values of search options if the page searches in Basic mode.

Advanced Search options
The Advanced Search options group box sets the values of search option if the page searches in Advanced mode.

Use this page to specify the search indexes (represented by search categories) against which PeopleSoft Search runs its searches for the corresponding transaction search page. Each search category added here is displayed as an option in the Search Domains section on the solution search page for that CRM transaction at runtime, when users click to see more search options.
For example, users can perform keyword search on the that covers five search domains: (Solutions, Cases, Troubleshooting Guides, Defects, Fixes). These search categories are referenced on this page for the CALLCENTER search page definition that is used for the Case - Solution page.
Note: User should able to create only one Search Category Name for FLUID SELF SERVICE configuration.

Use the Search Boost page (RB_SRCH_BOOST) to define the boost attributes that facilitate solution search by prioritizing the retrieval of highly relevant information. Boosting parameters can be used to increase the visibility of searched solutions based on various factors, such as relevance, popularity, or business objectives.
Note: The Search Boost page is only relevant for FLUID SELF SERVICE and CALLCENTER search page definition configurations. Users are able to configure the order rules for Search Boost results.

Search Attribute |
Enter the search attributes of the selected search category to configure the boost search results. The dropdown list for search attributes shall only display attributes corresponding to the Search Categories designated on the Search Source page. Upon any modification to the Search Source, all existing search rules should be cleared, and a warning message should be displayed to the user. |

Boost Score |
Select the required boost score. The boost score is rated from 1 to 10, allowing administrators to select the appropriate score points for the rules. |
