Setting Up Spousal Life Insurance

This topic describes how to set up spousal life insurance for U.S. same-sex spouse.

Set up new dependent life plans and spousal life plans for U.S. same-sex spouse, to use benefit rates different from the existing spouse relationship.

1. Set up a dependent life plan. The following screenshot shows a sample dependent life plan KUDLSS.

   This plan uses a new Benefit Rate ID KUSSS in the benefit program.

2. Set up a spousal life plan. The following screenshot shows a sample spousal life plan KUSSL.

   This plan uses a new benefit rate ID KUSSS in the benefit program.

3. This new Rate Table ID KUSSS is using detail rates. Specify the tax adjustment using the Other Rates link on the Benefit Rates page.
