Track Faculty Events Overview

The PeopleSoft HR: Track Faculty Events provides these business processes:

• Track faculty tenure.

  Track the tenure eligibility of your faculty using predetermined rules and calendars. Set up service and service accrual parameters, assign employees to tenure, and calculate tenure for employees.

• Track events.

  Keep track of a variety of faculty events, such as activities, honors and awards, licenses and certificates, professional and committee memberships, publications, special projects, and teaching responsibilities.

• Manage cases.

  Prepare cases and forward them to others for review while maintaining employee confidentiality. Define the purpose of the case, and manage the review process within a case review group by reviewer, reviewer team, process step, dates received and forwarded, recommendations, and final actions.

• Work with the Statistics Canada Academic Teaching Surveys.

  Prepare and submit the StatsCan Academic Teaching Survey for your organization, required by Statistics Canada for all Canadian universities and degree-granting institutions.

• Report DETYA (Department of Education, Training, and Youth Affairs) for the Australian Higher Education Sector.

  Generate and submit these DETYA required reports: the Full Time and Fractional Staff Report and the Casual Report.
